Mentoring for Coaches

Deepen your coaching skills.
Help your clients transform their lives.

Most coaches start with great training, yet after we complete our programs, it's easy find ourselves alone on the journey, with few opportunities for feedback or outside perspective.

You might start to wonder how you can get your clients even better results. How can you consistently help them dive deeper so they find breakthrough moments?

Working with a mentor coach immediately up-levels your coaching. You get focused feedback on your actual coaching, along with insights and new approaches that you can use right away to help your clients transform their lives.

You'll learn how to:

  • Quickly get to the heart of what your client is navigating

  • Consistently evoke deeper awareness and learning

  • Connect them with their own ideas and wisdom

  • Help them quiet thoughts of self-doubt

As an ICF Professional Certified Coach and a Certified Mentor Coach, I delight in sharing my knowledge and years of professional experience. Through individual or group mentoring, you'll get fresh ideas, constructive feedback, clear action steps, and above all, a growth mindset that will help you get to the next level in your coaching career.

“Mentor coaching with Gretchen re-invigorated my coaching practice and helped me take my coaching skills to the next level. Gretchen provided direct feedback, was encouraging of my growth, and shared many useful tips."

- Rosie Mastrandrea, ICF Associate Certified Coach, Chief of Staff to Microsoft CMO

International Coach Federation (ICF) Requirements

If you're ready to apply for your ACC or PCC certification, or if you want to renew your ICF credential, you'll need 10 hours of Mentor Coaching. Seven hours can be in group sessions, three hours must be in individual sessions. You can schedule as many individual sessions as you need, or join our group mentor coaching program to earn all 10 hours.

Individual Mentor Coaching

Our 1:1 conversations will focus on the areas you want to grow as a coach. Together we'll review recordings of your coaching, identifying strengths and areas for development. I’ll offer practical approaches and new ideas to sharpen your coaching, based on ICF competencies, Playing Big tools, and my experience of what works to help clients get best results.

You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of your coaching strengths and how to up-level your skills to help your clients find their breakthrough moments. If needed, I’ll also help you navigate the ICF credentialing process. Book a call with me here to explore individual mentor coaching with me.

Group Mentor Coaching September 2023

If you'd like to learn in a supportive community of like-minded coaches, join the 3-month Group Mentor Coaching Program that I lead with fellow PCC Certified Mentor Coach, Diana Bender. It combines 5 group sessions (7 hours) with 3 individual sessions, satisfying the 10 hours of mentor coaching required by the ICF.

In this practical, engaging program, you will:

  • Accelerate your learning with practice, observation and real-time feedback.

  • Gain insights and approaches from two PCC-level Certified Mentor Coaches.

  • Understand your coaching strengths and areas for development.

  • Quickly identify ways to build your skills and knowledge.

  • Explore the new ICF core competencies to embed them in your coaching.

Meeting regularly with other coaches, you’ll expand your professional network and engage in thought-provoking discussions about coaching approaches. Upon completion of the program, you'll receive a letter to send to the ICF with your application.

“From the first sessions with Gretchen, I was astounded and blessed to realize how good she is at this. She is a safe, completely non-judgmental sounding board, and asks the most insightful questions. It is because she is fiercely compassionate and professional when wearing her coach hat, that I have been able to ask more of myself while being kinder with myself.”
