Coaching

 It's time to create change.

Most of us want to do work that makes a difference. We want to create change, use our voices, step into leadership, have a seat at the table.

Often we get a great start. We take on more responsibility, get promoted, launch a business, decide on a career change. We have a mission.

And then we get stuck, feel overwhelmed. We second-guess ourselves.

Do I have enough experience?
What will others think?
Can I balance it all?
I feel like a fraud.

On one level we’re sure of ourselves. We're passionate, committed, and frankly, damn good at what we do.

Yet we hesitate, avoid, or get distracted. Inside we feel chaotic, uncertain and frustrated. We don’t raise our hands. We don’t speak our truth.

If you’re going to make a bigger impact, grow your business or accelerate your career, you’ll need a new approach -- to both the internal and external challenges.

This is where coaching comes in.

With the support of coaching and a new set of skills, you can change the way you show up every day -- at work, with your family, and most of all, with yourself. You can calm the mental chatter and move forward with clarity and courage.

“Gretchen’s coaching and guidance empowered me to tap into my inner wisdom, recognize positive and non-productive behaviors, and take exciting risks and leaps of faith with confidence that have transformed me to be my authentic self.”

- MG, Danaher

When you’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed, coaching feels like magic.

Coaching with me blends head and heart. With years of experience in large companies, as a business owner, and as a mom of three juggling career and family, my approach is whole-hearted as well as strategic and practical.

I won’t tell you what to do, but I’ll expertly create space for your exploration and offer frameworks to find new perspectives. I’ll be your thought partner, your ally, and your biggest champion, cheering you on at each step in your journey.

Each conversation is unique and will focus on what you want to accomplish. As a professionally trained coach, my role is to provide a process, with questions that generate new ideas and powerful insights to get to the heart of the issue you’re navigating.

You’ll reflect on patterns, explore new ideas, and discover new perspectives. You’ll find answers that are deeply true for you and you’ll begin to take risks that are perfectly aligned with your values and strengths. Ultimately, you’ll choose your path forward and plan your next steps.

“Gretchen addressed negative thoughts I had and facilitated my coming up with different, more positive ways of looking at things, so that I then had the clarity of mind plus determination to tackle those things on my own between our sessions.”

- Melissa Lawton, Attorney

Coaching for Groups in Organizations

I also provide coaching for groups of women in organizations. Leaders learn to speak up, take risks, become more visible and become prepared for bigger roles. Companies invest in their best talent, retaining and developing a larger cadre of women ready for promotion.

Coaching has been an invaluable experience. I have learned instant awareness. I have learned to hear my inner critic's voice and recognize when that voice needs to be quieted. I have learned tools that will help me in so many ways, and I have learned to control what I can, and to not dwell on what I cannot, but to take control of my path. I now feel better equipped to face what is thrown my way."
